Results include individual, Teams / pairs, and a "Badge Match"
What's a "Badge Match"?

I think you're looking at the CSFC results rather than the nationals (?)

The badge match is kind of like a warm up match, run a few days before the 'real' match (if I remember correctly).

Correct, normally. At the CSFCs the badge match was concurrent with the pairs.

Yes the badge match was run concurrently with the pairs match and is run prior to the individual match.

Everyone that was in the pairs match also contested the badge match but not everyone that was in the badge match contested the pairs match.

If a country had a team of three the first two were in the badge match and pairs match and the third person was in the badge match only.
