Is there a compensator made for the Walther CP2? And if there is, who makes/sells them?

Matt,

If I were you, I would have a look at the Nygord's website. They manufacture and sell compensators for most of the airguns in the market.
Type Nygord in the search box of Google, and you will find a lot of links to the website.
Best regards

I contacted Don Nygord a year or so ago about a compensator for my CP2. Unfortunately, the configuration of the CP2 in which the CO2 cyllinder and the front sight both extend to the front of the barrel, with only a very small clearance was a problem, and Nygord didn't think that the compensator would fit properly. I haven't found any other that will fit the CP2, and I sure can use any help I can get!!!!

In stock form that is correct. But I milled a shallow lenghtwise slot on the bottom of my Nygord Turbo Comp and it fits perfectly on my CP2 and allows clearance to screw the CO2 cylinder on with no problems.

I bought a CP2 Match with a Nygord Turbocomp already mounted. After reading your post I checked it out and found the paint worn off the bottom of the comp. I took a Dremel and ground the soft aluminum until the barrel floated freely. I then had to add 12 clicks of elevation to rezero. Group sizes (from a vise) did not change.

I ordered a compensator for the CP2 (from Nygord) that was supposed to fit (and they even included another type just in case). However, I returned both because neither one had the proper i.d. to receive the barrel properly. Too bad, I thought they were the manufacturers.

Does anybody have any other ideas as far as sources/manufacturers to contact?

Here is a photo of the Nygord Turbo comp modifications for the CP2

For reference, my barrel diameter is 0.470"
