Now that Andrew Berryhill has 3D printed grips figured out, it hardly seems worth the bother.

Although plastic will do the job wood IMO is much nicer in feel and aesthetics. No knock on Andrew. Great service he is offering.

I certainly prefer the aesthetics of a nice dark walnut grip, but the dark wood-fiber filled material Andrew has is actually pretty nice.
