Military red oil works well in cold temperatures
I use Ballistol for 16 years on all guns (Blackpowder, Rimfire, Les Baer, Freedom Arms etc. etc.). Always satisfied. Good to all metalls and all woods and skin and does not harm plastic or rubber ;-) The only problem is that if you store a gun for month the oil on the surface evaporate so put the Ballistol every some months on it again.
