I posted the above a week ago. I have not seen a single response. I can only think that everyone will only go with what they THINK they know, whatever that might be.

Not at all. I know that I can have a natural arm settle point for each of the 3 stances you describe.

It's pretty pointless however if that stance does not fulfill the other requirements of comfort, stability and head position.

Dave, I think you pretty well make my point. There is a wide range of positions, but you can't find one "real" NPA however comfortable that may be. As I said, many of the "preferred" stances tend to be kind of trendy.

The "dig" was at those who would not even try.
