I think you gorgot to put the following sentance, which specifically relates to air pistols, in bold:-
"For these, I recommend a nylon pull-through loop (doubled and crimped .040" trimmer cord) and a .22 cloth patch (1 1/4" diameter) and a spritz of TSI-301 about every couple of cans of pellets."
That seems fairly clear to me.
Airgun cleaning?

VFG makes a kit I asked about earlier. In Airgun World August 2003 I found the following:
"After exhaustive research they found that that the blast of compressed air takes the temperature down to -10 C in the first 12-15cm of the barrel, witch causes the lead to become brittle and bits to break of as a consequence. And in those first all important cms, water vapour is generated behind the pellet and it stays in the bore.
Microscopic amounts of this water are forced into the land of the rifling and microscopic patches of rust form there. Worse still, the tiny particles of lead broken off in the brittle lead process cover this rust, protecting the patch and keeping things rusty."
The article describes how to use this kit, VFG makes this special kit for deep cleaning airgun barrels. It consists of a plastic rod and a chemicals, in the form of pastes. The pastes are aplied to the bore with felt wads. he kit costs £40-£50.
The article claims the treatment makes wonders!
