IZH 46M problem

Post by rogersdan »

I've had the Izzy for 5 months and it has functioned flawlessly.

Today, I cocked (charged the cylinder, loaded a pellet, and the trigger wouldn't release the charge. The trigger moves, but nothing happens.

Any ideas.

Thanks, Dan

It almost sounds like the bolt is not locked in or did not cycle properly when you loaded. Try releasing the bolt lever (on the right side of the barrel) and then cycle the bolt completely (all the way up and then down and locked) like you were going to dry-fire. Remember it's LOADED and can fire at any time...

Check the over travel adjustment.

If there isn't enough over travel the gun will not fire.

I've released bolt and recycled it - no effect.

I haven't tried to adjust the travel adjustment.

Can the adjustment be made now, after the cylinder has been charged, and then merely recycle the bolt?

Thanks, Dan

Point it in a safe direction if it is cocked and you are going to mess with the trigger screws.

Wear eye protection!!! An AP discharge even without a pellet can damage an eye.
