What is the consensus on standing stance?
Do you turn your hip toward the target or do you rely solely on turning your neck?
When I shoot, my face have to face target squarely. My neck can turn comfortably 45 degrees. That means my shoulder/hip is 45 degrees off target. My feet are lined up closer to 90 degrees off target. So my hip provides 50% of the turn, my neck provides 50% of the turn.
Do you turn your hip?
Do you twist your hip toward the target in your stance?

Certainly not intentionally. My feet are closer to 45 degrees off the line to the target (give or take a bit, depending on the day)Anonymous wrote:Do you turn your hip?

No. I find that I get better balance, less sway, if my hips and shoulders are lined up with my feet. My feet are ~ 45 deg as are my body and hips. I swivel only my head toward the target. My face is not exactly square to the target i.e. my eyes are not quite centered.Anonymous wrote: Do you turn your hip?
