Which grip for longer fingers

Post by joecon »

I'm looking for another grip for my LP-10. When ordering I specified large grip but find it does not fit well on the palm & heal of hand. I had tried the Steyr medium before ordering but thought it did not fit well due to my long fingers & as my hand measurement was on the borderline between medium & large, I ordered the large.
Anyone have medium size hand but longer than normal fingers - what type of grip gave you a good fit? Tks.

The grip needs to fit your hand.

Your finger(s) need to fit the trigger.

Typically, both are adjustable in different wqays.

I have the same problem as you: long fingers. Rink has a special option for long fingers (called volume, option thick instead of normal) that can be combined with any grip size: http://www.formgriffe.de

Besides this option, the Rink grips are also very good grips if not the best.

If you have odd shaped hands then you'll more than likely need to modify a standard grip. Some companies may be better than others but no one can make a perfect grip for you, without individually making it to fit your hand. I'd suggest you find someone competent to modify your current grips rather than get something slightly better that will still need modifying to get a perfect fit.

I have large hands as well and just received a Rink grip for my FWB P44 with the thick feature. That has worked well for me so far. I am now able to have the position of the trigger in the proper location for my long fingers. I ordered the grip from Larry Carter who was very helpful in specifying the right features on the order.

With a normal grip, I had to move the trigger blade a lot forward. With the thick version of Rink, its at a usual place.
