Retraction of incorrect post

Post by 2650 Plus »

7 or 8 months ago I made a post to the effect thet James McNally had taken the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics. James is hospitalized at a small hospital in North Florida with some form of paralisis but I did ask him about the medal. He confirmed that it was not he that won the bronze medal. I appoligise for posting the incorrect information. His Son John is the five time olympian in international rapid fire. I am trying to prevail upon him to join the forum. Wish me luck as he is a working man with limited time for this endevor. James is still three times winner of the custer trophy shot with the service pistol over the National Match Course. That would be William McMillan, Rome 1960 and gold medal not bronze that you might have been thinking of?

I already knew that Bill McMillan had won a gold, And what lead me astray was a story about the Tokyo Olympics in the overseas version of the newspaper called the Stars And Stripes reporting that James had won the bronze, I took the story at face value and thats my fault. By now I should know better than to believe what I read in some news paper. Oh well. Good Shooting Bill Horton
