Teaching?

Post by Steve Swartz »

In a couple of other threads I have been accused of "Teaching" . . .

Ouch!

I prefer "Experiential Learning Facilitator" or "Technique Discovery Assistant!"

[on a serious note- yes I admit "Guilty As Charged" to a bit of teaching/preaching; ie "This is THE way to do it!" However I try- and I think the best coaches are very good at - not "teaching" so much as "collaborative learning" with others. I was TOLD something 1,000 times and never got it. When I "discovered it for myself" [sic] that's when I *really* learned it.]

Keep going Steve! There are newbies who read this forum, and I for one am getting some good tips.

To the other guys.... Rather than critisise Steve, why not offer tips yourselves.

I have only started ISSF shooting last May. Gone from a Buckmark to a GSP and in the year have gone from 418 to 527 by following advice on forums like these, and lots of practice.

Good work

Alan
