One simple question....
was the walther GSP expert EVER chambered for the .32 S&W round? I know that it is comes in .32 S&W long versions and .22LR versions but was it ever chambered in .32 S&W as in the parent cartridge of the .32 S&W Long?

Not to my knowledge, no. If the GSP Expert was ever marketed, chambered for the shorter .32 S&W round, on a commercial basis, I think I would have been informed.
Workshop experimental, or as a stricly custom chambering and rebuilding, at some custom shot, I cannot exclude. But not as a regular chambering, no.
The idea is not necessarily a bad one.
But the mildly loaded .32 S&W "Long" WC target cartridge is about as puny as it gets.
The centerfire program is intended to be a litle different form firing .22 l.r. I believe.
About the same lane: Benelli made some years ago a "mildly recoiling" (limited?) version of a 9 mm parabellum military match type of gun. It was chambered for the .380 round. The gun (chambering?) did not gain much favor.
