Walther LPM

Post by Raymond Cheng »

Does anybody know how to lube the piston seal on the Walther LPM? Can I just put a drop or two of oil through the slot under the air cylinder? Apparently, there are three seals. The first two are in black and the last one is in blue. Do I have to lube them all?

I'd appreciate your advice.

Thanks and regards,
Raymond

I believe the synthetic seals themselves donot require lubrication. Should you decide to use lubricant, do so sparingly and use a product that will not react with the seals.

Lube?.....

Hi Raymond, I wouldn't proceed with lubing the cylinder seals without checking first with either Walther or perhaps Champion's Choice who used to sell this model. Instructions on many single stroke pneumatic guns specifically recommend against lubing in the cylinder. I will also check in my LPM-1 owner's manual to see if the question is covered there. I am currently away for the weekend so it might be a few days for me to do that.
