red dot on air pistol
Just for practice, I have mounted a Red dot sight on my Baikal IZH 64 ( yes it came from the host's store) and train with it for slow fire. It is very heavy so I get weight lifting benifits also. I think it helps, and sure cannot hurt.
Hi Dan,
I've always considered the red dot a good training aid. For the Team, I usually allow a dot on the .22s even if the member is working toward Distinguished. I do, however, strongly suggest that they use the dot in a similar manner to open sights; reference the dot to the tube as you would reference the front sight to the rear.
On another note, have you visited the site lately? I have done some work and would love to get some more material from you...
