Shooting shoe foam insert question.

Is it ok to put Dr.Shoals type foam inserts into shooting shoes? Or will this defeat the purpose of the shoes? My feet hurt after only a short time of shooting. I guess the flat bottom give me no support.

What you want are orthodics. These are custom fitted shoe inserts to support the foot with a fairly firm form (not foam). A low-cost version is made for skiiers called SuperFeet that may work well (they do for me). If you want real orthodics, try a ski shop.
