Wanted to buy, older free pistol

Post by motorcycle_dan »

I'm looking to buy (or trade?) a free pistol. If I had a choice, I'd love an older Hammerli 120.
I prefer a mechanical trigger but if the price was right I would consider a newer electronic trigger. I'm in Ohio (will be by Monday) and would like to shoot before I purchase so would prefer local sale.

If you know of someone no longer using a good free pistol and wants to see it go to a good home. please pass it on.

IIRC they're asking $499 for VG condition w/ case, $399 Good w/o case.

what's a Toz 35 go for in such condition?

A new Toz-35 (well, unissued) will go for about $1200. So if you have any interest in a free pistol, you would be well advised to jump on this deal.

Come to think of it, I might buy one...I own a Toz-35, and a second one is a reasonably cheap spares set.

I'd purchased one this morning. The salesman told me that they have about 30 in total, maybe more. They're still unpacking them. But he didn't know what the mix of grades might be. I assume that CDNN is grading them, and that this grade is probably based on cosmetics.

I bought one already, and thinking about buying another one. Spare parts for this gun are actually quiet expensive, and $400 is pretty cheap spare set.

They're down to 2 or 3.

Does anyone know if they still have any?

The last I heard was that they were all gone. I would check by calling and talking to a salesperson. They certainly were a bargain, if any of the three I got were "typical" examples of the "good-very good without case" type. Let us know what you find out, and good luck.

I just called them, and they said they have 10 of each.
