There's a new EU directive coming through on the European Firearms Pass. At present it's expected to be finalised by early next year.

Have a look and see if there's any good news for you.

Many thanks but I don't think it will be of any help to us.

The new Article 4a says:-

"Without prejudice to Article 3, Member States shall allow the acquisition and possession of firearms classified in categories A, B, C or D only by persons who were granted a licence or a permit to do so in accordance with national law."

Point well taken, Dave. We here in the US need to count our blessings. AND, remain alert!

Have you checked out the "Resurrect The Sport" group? They're trying to bring pistol shooting back to the UK.

Hmm, not so good then. At least now you can shoot in Ireland if you want :)
