747 problems

Post by hb10mshoter »

I have shot a izh 46 and a daisy 777 and i can shoot the daisy better despite the lesser trigger. I plan to buy a 747 and want to find good grips for 10m shooting. Also I would like to know if anybody out there has any comments on the pistol. Thanks

A friend recently called Daisy and was told they still have some 777 pistol grips in stock for $60 per pair ($30 per panel). Altho they are wood, I'm not very impressed with their ergonomics.
I think a much better set of grips may be purchased from:

I have RB grips on my 747. For the price I could not be happier. Fast friendly service and good quality. They are not free style grips but then the 747 is not a free style pistol ...

I went though a search for 'match-style' 747 grips a few months ago and was unable to find anything. I even sent my 747 over to Woods and Waters - who makes the excellent Izzy grips sold by our host. Unfortunately, Woods and Waters was unable to come up with an approach to make a reasonable match grip (for the 747). So I gave up a few weeks ago and purchased a used Aeron instead.

Obviously, if you find a source. Please let us all know.
