I've been looking around and am interested in getting my son involved in air rifle shooting. He already likes to shoot and this looks like a great way to do a lot of it.
But what I'm having a hard time finding is basic information. What are the types of competitions? Who are they sanctioned by? What are the rules? What guns are allowed/suggested?
I take it that most air rifle competition is done at 10m. But what's more common all standing or 3 position? Can the same gun be used for both?
Right now we shoot 22's at targets and squirrel, and we share rifles. But I don't suppose we would be able to share a target air rifle very effectively. Is that right?
Just looking for base level foundational information. Any resources you can point me to would be greatly appreciated, online or off.
