MEC contect buttplate

Can someone tell me the differents between generations on the MEC contect buttplates?
I have a ANS superair 2002, wood stock. I wonder if I can befit Mec buttplate on my rlfle with out to much modification.

Either of the MEC buttplates (Contact III or Free Position) will fit your stock no problem, even if it means screwing directly to the stock.

I think version 3 of Contact just had a larger amount of adjustment, but basically the same as the older ones.

The free position is a great buttplate too, albeit more expensive.
