SHOOTING BOOTS PIRACY COPIES

Post by Kurt Thune »

Dear Shooter,

We have strong reasons to believe that our model EVOLUTION shooting boots is being copied and sold illegally.

We’re collecting proofs of this activities and we’re grateful for all information you can give us. All information used in court will be rewarded in cash.

As the problem seems to be based in Germany we have hired a lawyer based in Munich to handle this matter. This lawyer will represent us in court and claim economical compensation for every illegal use of our designs, trademark or other infringements of our legal rights.

We have a new producer of KURT THUNE shooting boots.

Boots from our new producer are now available.

Every right foot boot have now a numbered sticker which can not be removed, on the outside. If you want to control the origin of your boots just call the phone number below.

Any questions you may have should be directed directly to me personally.

Best Regards,
Kurt Thune

Are there any ways to identify the pirated boots? Do you suspect they are being sold in the USA?

How about the unique number on the right sole he mentioned above - it won't be on the pirates.

re: "How about the unique number on the right sole he mentioned above - it won't be on the pirates."

That's only on the "new / now being made" ones. That won't help you identify what Kurt was talking about, counterfeits that have been in circulation.

So, the question is still valid, what comparative details would reveal to a buyer if they'd bought one of these counterfeits...

I would suggest if you are unsure you contact him directly. It's perhaps unwise to list the differences on an open forum - in case the next pirate copies take notice of it.
