sights - 10 or 20 clicks / revolution

Post by brookeselmer »

I'm currently looking at buying a new set of the Anschutz 7020 sights.

Does anybody have advice or insight on whether the 20 clicks / revolution version would be preferred over the 10 clicks / revolution version?

I'm planning on using these sights primarily on a 10 meter air rifle but could see using them occasionally on my small bore rifle for 50 yd/meter events and possibly even 100yd prone matches.

Thanks in advance -

Great set of sight especially if you cant the rifle. Personally I'd go with the 20 click, if you buy the 10 click you will wish you had bought the 20, I know I did!

At least if you buy the 20 click and are shooting at 10m you can just move it in 2 clicks at a time; try moving the 10 clicker in half clicks! Can't be done!

And they are both the same price anyway.

I am not sure about this but I think that ANS no longer makes the ten click because no one was buying them.

sights - 10 or 20 clicks / revolution

Hi,
Anschutz still make the 10clicks/revolution sight. I personally have a 20clicks/rev sight. They are a great sight.

If you really want to change your sight you can take the cover off the sight and loosen the very small hex screw that holds the detent ball in or out. You then change the position of the ball (in or out) and re-tighten the screw. If you had a 20 clicker sight now you now have a 10clicker and vice versa.

However a warning, the locking screw is very difficult to move (Loctite maybe) so be very careful.
Cheers
