News Wire focused on Shooting Sports

Post by hillbilly »

I'm listening to Tom Gresham's national radio show "Gun Talk."

Today, he had a guest on talking about a news wire service that's only three months old and that's devoted to shooting sports news.

Here's a way to get the word out on your team's competitons and doings and achievements.

It's also a way to get news about the shooting sports.

According to the interview on the radio show, the service is both free and secure.

Here's the link if anyone is interested.

I want to be very clear. I am not affiliated with this news service in any way.

I am just a rifle coach who used to work as a sports reporter in a past life, and know that many many times, shooting sports don't get the attention they deserve, for all kinds of reasons.

I think every single shooting sports coach should learn to write a press release, and make sure word gets out on his or her team.

Roy,
As you used to work as a sports reporter, could you give us an few ideas on how to write an article or press release? I've been trying to get this sort of thing right so that it sounds interesting enough for newspapers to use, but apparently either my writing, or shooting, is boring. Also, being in the UK shooting is not politically correct so that getting newpaper space is even more difficult.
Any and all pointers would be hugely appreciated and gratefully received.

Thanks.
