Game & Fish is running a thing called "Shooters Showcase"

a few of us competitive shooters have set up a display and demonstration of olympic and NRA style rifle and pistol shooting, we have a bunch of stuff on display and public can try rifle and pistol

Interesting. The Fish & Game agencies in both states where I've lived after the military show no interest at all in competitive shooting.

I guess what we do doesn't provide them any revenue.

There are displays of several types of guns (free, air, bullseye, etc.) and a 10M AP range with several guns to shoot along with some *very* capable instructors, all for free. The building is at the far end of the event and not everyone is making the trip but those who do are reporting a very beneficial as well as enjoyable experience. (Thanks, Bill!)
