Opinions and Experience with Walther KKM

Post by ADC59 »

To the Membership:

I have an opportunity to buy a Walther KKM in nice condition. It is the free rifle (import from Germany) and looks like a GX-1. I plan mostly to shoot prone. Other than being an orphan rifle, is there any experience, good or bad, that the Target Talkers can relate?

Thanks

Alan,

Buy it! I found one in good nick 4 years ago and it still shoots better than me. If you have located one with a removable forend then it is the choice of the true shooter. They are as good as Anschutz or Feinwerkbau, a Walther shooter is one who is prepared to stand out from the crowd!! Triggers are good and strike reliable. Accompanying sights are simple but reilable also. The late Malcom Cooper, how we miss him, used one to retain the Olympic 3P title in 1988 - you can't say more than that.

I have semi retired mine after buying another rifle, so my lad who is not yet 11, will "inherit it" when he is old enough.

BUY IT!
