Procedure for testing minimum velocity & bullet weight..

Post by Spencer C »

On the ISSF NEWS site is the "Procedure for testing minimum velocity & bullet weight..." for Rapid Fire Pistol.
At least we now know that the testing will be through the competitor's own pistol.

What Joy!

Testing min. velocity/bullet weight; defeating the cheaters!

Post by Tseug »

Yes, testing of the contenders ammo/pistol combo for minimum momentum is mandatory. There has been, and probably will always be persons/countries willing to cheat to get a medal.

In shooting as in most other international sport diciplines.
Just remember the newest "designer drugs" used by some athletes. I will not repeat what role US athlets played in that game.....

Ther is a constant and never ending was against the cheaters. Ammo testing is a step forward. Not much troble if your ammo is up to the standards.

In Practical Pistol ammo testing for Power Factor is part of the game. I recon nobody has made any complains about that lately.
