Maybe up the trigger weight, put on a red-dot, and use for indoor 50-foot league matches? I would suggest that you don't try this for 50-yard matches (a la Camp Perry).

j, wondering how much longer we'll be able to find 22Shorts from now on

In an earlier thread, I proposed a "classic" Rapid Fire match using the 2004 rules. This could be fired right along with the "new rules" match. Everything but the gun is the same. Well actually the number of refires has changed, too; but I'd go with the new rules with respect to refires, even in the "classic" match.
Anyway, I'm not alone in my thinking as we are going to try this here in British Columbia at a provincial match this year.
