Anschutz 2001 & FWB 601

Post by copen »

Hi, I've found these two rifles used for sale and am interested in either one or the other to get into precision air rifle. I used to shoot sporter with a daisy 7 series. Anyways my question is im tall 6'9 so obviously a longer stock is an asset. What my question is, is the stock on the 601 able to extend or just slide up and down. I know the 2001 will. Or will either accept an adjustable buttplate for say a newer model equivalent. Like the aluminum one on the 603 or p70.
Also thoughts on either gun in general would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Either of those can extend with additional spacers (washers or larger nuts will work OK for the 601). You will need longer bolts though, which may be hard to come by the metric sizes depending upon where you live.

You should be able to use an ALU buttplate if you wish.

I would go with the 601 between those 2 though the 2001 cheekpiece is more adjustable.
