Have you noticed the Rifle Gun prices lately?

A few days ago, I came across Airgun dealers' web sites and noticed the prices of these products were sky high. Of course, I thought about how much I paid for my FWBs' and felt a momentary satisfaction for purchased them early before the price increased.

Are there any reasons why these airgun prices went up so high, besides Euro's trade worth? I know that there were new models introduced in these couple years, but the older models seemed have at least of 40% tag increased.

Any thoughts?

When the US dollar was stronger you could get one Euro for about 85 cents.

Now that same Euro will cost you $1.23.

Yes we did enjoy some nice low prices there for a few years. I have some Anschutz catalogs from the early 90's. I got them on EBAY. These catalogs came from dealers and had a few had the dealer's wholesale price lists in them- these are the prices that the dealers could get the rifles from the importer for. Those old prices are very high- about what we get the equipment for retail now. So, I think that we just had a little narrow period of great prices in about 1999-2001.
