USA—Where to compete ISSF Rapidfire to qualify for Olympics?

Post by Mk4Zero »

So if I'm reading this right, I need to gain ISSF points and be magically choosen by a committee to compete in the Olympics. Which competitions do I need to compete in to do so? Do I need to fly to international competitions to qualify for a spot?

Links to places for me to sign up?

I reside in California, I imagine there are no competitions for ISSF RapidFire in the USA but would like to be told otherwise

Thanks!

Check out the selection criteria for USA Shooting to be selected for the National Team

https://feed.usashooting.org/app/upload ... UPDATE.pdf

You need to compete in ranking matches. At those ranking matches, your top 5 matches over the year need to average 576.

Once you’re on the National Team, they’ll have you compete for quota slots. Since USA is the host country, it’ll get 1 guaranteed slot at the Olympics. The other slots have to be earned at ISSF World Cups.

USA Shooting as the governing body for the sport has a lot of discretion on who is selected to compete.

Here’s a list of USA Shooting ranking matches

Hope this helps, best of luck!
