Folks,
as you can see from my profile, (13 posts in 7 years,) I am a lurker. I defer to those on this forum who are vastly more knowledgeable than I am. Thank you for the learning experience of the past, and thanks in advance for any light you can shed on my question.
About 20 years ago, Daisy contracted a special run of Moly coated wadcutter pellets as door prizes for our shooting organization. Tin has a logo, but no other info except "made in China". Pellets weigh avg of 7.76 grains. and are .177 cal.
Question...has anyone used moly coated pellets? at what velocity? The airguns we use are Daisy 853, Daisy 717/747/777, and IZH-46, all running somewhere between 350 & 460 fps.
I ended up with 3 tins. OK to use in these guns at these velocities? Should I run them thru a tumbler a bit to rub off the moly? I doubt they are match grade quality, there's a reason they have sat on a shelf while I continued using R-10's or other name brands. However, I'm aging and I'd like to do some house cleaning without gumming up guns whether they are mine or my friends.
Your advice, please...What would you do if they were in your gun room??? Again, thanks in advance.

Shoot 'em 'til they're gone. Switch to RWS Basic.
