Cesare Morini Matchguns business

Hello everyone, does any one know if Cesare Morini’s Matchguns are out of business? Have a chance to pick up one of his guns the MGH1 for 10 meter matches but I’m on the fence on wether to get it or not.Worried in the long run on getting replacement cylinders etc

The factory has closed, but a manufacturing companies that was making a lot of their parts towards the end has purchased the name and designs, at least for the firearms. The plan is to make them available again. The hold-up at this point is the new owner needs to get an Italian firearms manufacturing license, which can take a while. I have no idea if they have any plans to make the air guns in the future.

Just curious, but where did you find this out? Has there been any public statement? Just to clarify, I believe what you are saying, but if there's a place I could follow for updates on the companies' future that would be really great. It's a shame to see a competitor on the market struggle, especially one as interesting and different as Matchguns.

I don't know of any official place to get more news on this. I've worked closely with the US importer for several years, and I've gotten bits & pieces as things unfolded. He posted this in mid-November:

The Matchguns business started by Cesare Morini is closed for good.
There is a new owner (sole proprietor) to the business name and brand. It will be a long while before the new company can start producing firearms.
