A charming pistol has come to me. Looking for information. Made by a premier gunsmith, Carl Stiegele, Jr. 1863-1891. Break open. Seems to be (measured a chamber casting) 8.15x46R.

If it was autographed by "John Wilks Booth" you could sell it for a bundle. Plus, pre-1898 - no FFL required!

My favorite Olympic pistol is my "Tell" by Buchel. It carries the 1934 plaque from Hitler's registration. With Buchel Meister Rifle and Buchel cup.
