Scatt USA not responding

Post by denjak »

Hi Folks,
I recently bit the bullet and ordered a SCATT system. Ordered directly from scattusa.com on October 13th and I've heard nothing since. I've called, sent emails, and filled out the contact form. Anyone know if Scatt USA is having problems or if I just need to be patient? Tough to pay such a high price for hardware and get no response.

Any news yet? I’ve called them a few times the past week but no response from contact form to voice mail. Was considering just ordering a MX-W2 online but now your post makes me hesitant

Amazing. File a chargeback and get a response. The story was that they were out of stock, and expecting a new order later this week. They tell me that it should be shipping next week.

There's been a regular supply with a UK seller for a few months now so maybe that's true and they've just had a run with whatever stock they had? An email to explain wouldn't have hurt though

As an update, I ordered through Shooting Sport Depot and it shipped from SCATT warehouse when it became available. I love that I have it but I don't love that I can't get it past calibration! I even purchased the SCATT foldable LED thing and it doesn't work with that in a variety of lighting situations

Scatt and lighting

Post by m1963 »

Very specific lighting needed. We have found the Basic version to be easier to set-up/use in many instances- beach houses, hotels, basements, etc. The Meritec Target LED helps with set-up and the SCATT device is better able to maintain target contact, when using the Meritec lighting. It is not perfect, though. Shorter distances work better. We have found that a full ten meters down a long- dark- hotel hallway cannot be overcome by the Meritec lighting. Most hotels are so dark it is difficult to practice in the room beyond 5 meters. Dry firing is a better alternative.

Hey m1963

Thanks for mentioning the Meritec, so far SCATTUSA hasn't responded to my emails or picked up the phone on why my MX-W2 won't work /w their LED Target and I was thinking of trying the Meritec.

Do you happen to have a photo of good lighting for 10m distance? I've seen photos of people /w targets closer but I'd prefer to have a 10m distance

Thanks,

Mark

Photos will not really tell you much. 1000 lumens has been recommended. There are free light meter apps for cell phones that will help get you close. There is also the thread, below, on the SCATT forum, that has multiple links...it is a rabbit hole.
