How to Shorten Morini 162EI Trigger Distance

Post by jsleshem »

These https://postimg.cc/yDS0jKkF are the directions for adjustment that I found in a manual for the Morini 162 EI trigger. I want to set my trigger up such that stages 1 & 2 are both around 250-260g, but the distance for stage 2 is near 0. Essentially, I want no travel after I pull through the second stage.

What should I be adjusting to keep the weights the same, but to shorten that second trigger stage?

Thanks!

The second stage let off on a 162e/ei is a critical setting.
If set incorrectly the pistol may not function nor trigger reset.
There is a small vertical adjustment screw in the trigger group adjcent
to the micro switch mounting screws on the top of the housing.
You need a 0.89 mm hex key to adjust.
Turn the pistol on, unloaded of course, slowly turn the screw in until the trigger fires.
This is trigger break point.
Unscrew the screw 1/4 turn (this allows the trigger switch to reset, as long as there is sufficient second stage trigger weight).
If the trigger switch does not reset, then increase the back off to 1/3 turn.
Insufficent backoff will cause the trigger switch to malfunction.
Trigger weights are set by the screws in the spring levers behind the trigger.
Easy to identify the 1st stage, it is the first spring to move as the trigger is pulled.
