Feinwerkbau 2024

Post by alpineboard »

I placed an order for a Feinwerkbau thru CC. At the time, was told the item was shipped at the beginning of January , so it is likely that it is in US Customs, so wait time approx 1 week.
One week goes by, and I called CC, now am told the boat never left Germany, and is most likely leaving now, via info from the 2024 shot show FWB rep. So another 30 days or more to get here and clear customs.
Also, I asked and was told CC fills their orders in the order that they are received, first in first out.
Any info is appreciated as I sit and wait, thank you, R

Since the COVID lockdowns customs in Germany, and customs in the US have both been very slow. We have had items sit at customs in Germany, for 2 weeks, or more. Then, we have watched the painful customs process in the US, as our items are cleared, moved, and moved, and moved...sometimes the items will even pass within miles of your home as they are moved from one distribution center, to another.

There is also a war in the middle east that may be increasing shipping times from Germany. It could be the ship your item was supposed to be on was traveling to Germany from elsewhere, and was detoured around Africa, before arriving at its destination port in Germany.....etc.

Based on my experience Champions Choice would allow you to cancel your order, if you want. Otherwise, simply wait it out.

CC shipped as they stated they would , they had told me they ship their orders in the order that they are received.
Medium Right is common, so a pre buy was needed, CC had 3 coming and all 3 were prebought, and then wait a month coming from Germany.
The FWB's came in Friday or Saturday, and mine shipped right out Monday, all went well.
Am very pleased with the 900, very low recoil, almost like you are dry firing and you are not.
I have both the 800x and the 900 at 5.5 kg, but the 900 feels lighter when in standing position, and very steady.

Perhaps you should try ordering through other US FWB dealers who keep stock or ship by air.

From what I have seen, getting German products has been more difficult for everyone and everything goes through customs, even air shipments.

The 2024 900 in my common size , 3 came in, and all 3 were pre bought, glad I pre bought, and got 1 of the 3.
CC was the first to get the 2024 900's in the US, guessing. There are no other vendors who have 900 in stock, prior to FEB . Try finding one.
Not sure if any US vendor ships via Air,...? Shipping goes 3 days via UPS.
As far as I can tell, my order was held up in Germany, for what ever unknown reason.

I've been waiting on a trigger blade from Walther since January 2022 and am still waiting. Local entities are unable to do anything to hasten the delivery. I am now on my second local supplier: “6-8 weeks from order placement” back in mid-October last year…
