Trigger question

When adjusting your trigger do you set it up with or without over travel? Please state if you shoot from a rest, sling or 3P. If you feel like expanding on the discussion please state why.

I shoot prone with a sling. For all my rifles, I have as much over travel as possible. The theory is that having the free trigger travel will allow time for the bullet to leave the barrel. The trigger hitting a stop may either disturb the rifle or cause my grip to change, moving the rifle. I don't know if this is conventional thinking, but it works for me. My scores hover between expert and master.
It may not matter, but I have my trigger set as a single stage. Just what I prefer and have always done.
