NRA International CF Classification

Post by radjag »

Not sure whether this should go here or in "Bullseye Talk", but here goes.

Reading the Rule Book I see the numbers stated as follows - I assume that these are percentages of each Aggregate score:-

19.15 Individual Class Averages - Competitors will be
classified as follows and NRA Classification Cards issued
accordingly: Table 19.2 - Individual

Air Pistol
Master 93 plus
Expert 88 - 92.99
Sharpshooter 82 - 87.99
Marksman 81.99 or less

Centerfire Pistol
Master 96 plus
Expert 94 - 95.99
Sharpshooter 92 - 93.99
Marksman 91.99 or less

Standard Pistol
Master 91 plus
Expert 85 - 90.99
Sharpshooter 80 - 84.99
Marksman 79.99 or less

The one that stands out is the International CF = Master >= 96%. Really? That seems extraordinarily high compared to Standard Pistol Master >= 91%

Or is it only me that finds International CF Duelling quite challenging?

Greetings,

The Ten-ring on the Duel target is 50mm diameter.

The Ten-ring for Standard Pistol is 25mm for all courses of fire.

The above is based on shooting at 25 Meters.

Cheers,

Dave

Dave,

OK, got your point. Just did the math. Shoot four 98's in Duelling for a 392. 600x0.96=576. Minus 392 = 184. Or 92 average in Slow Fire.

Guess that I need to work on Duelling! Struggling to even make Sharpshooter at present!

Thanks.

Double those sizes. Duelling ten is 100mm, Precision ten is 50mm.

Greetings,

Thanks to "j-team" for correcting me.

Shot out of the saddle, once again.

Okay Roy, it just got much easier. Blaze away...

Cheers,

Dave
