Meisterkugelyn Pistol 4.49 size 7.0 grain

Post by brent375hh »

I can't find any RWS product 2315445 in the USA. It still shows up on the RWS website.
I inquired on the RWS contact page right on the RWS company website, and got a response from a customer service rep at Ruag Ammotech stating they don't import any RWS pellets!?
How or why my inquiry with RWS got to them is beyond me.

Clearly something is wrong. Neal Stepp told me he can only get 4.50mm size. Does anybody know who really brings in RWS pellets from Germany?

Thanks

Anschutz North America imports RWS.

I don't see 2315445 in-stock at the moment.

I wouldn't get too upset. Only the lot number matters when striving for best groups. When the batch you have is gone, you must start all over again. When that happens, your previous "best pellet" numbers are invalid.

Start scratchin'!

Apart from that unless you have considerable Ransom rest DNA as part of your physiological makeup in the real world of standing, holding a 950 gram AP out in front of you there will be “bugger all” differences in your results unless you allow your subconscious to dictate such.

Hell any minor deviation may play in your favour.

My point is to stop believing in how much difference the pellets make to your score. After untold testing it made no difference to mine.
Don’t burden yourself with any more psychological encumbrances....good technique repeated 60 times as simply and fuss free as possible.

The size is a matter of pellet insertion effort, not an accuracy issue.
The 4.49 just is just easier to push into my Evo, that's all.

Why would you worry Brent...if accuracy is not the issue, the larger ( by a bees dick ) pellets may seal better and fps helpful.

Thank you. I saw that Anschutz sells them, but has no stock. I will contact them to see if they are discontinued or just haven't ordered/received any.
I am still curious about the response I got from Ammotech and why RWS gave them my inquiry if they don't even sell RWS pellets.

These are the heavy version, but they are in stock in the 4.49 head-size, at a good price.

To put it into perspective,
4.49 = 0.1768"
4.50 = 0.1772"
4.51 = 0.1776"
or a difference of 8 tenth’s of thousandth of one inch.
That's less than a gnat's whiskers .....

I understand sizing and conversion.I also even own micrometers. I can easily Feel how much harder it is to insert the 4.50. I was inquiring if anyone knew if my favorite pellet was still being made, not why I should be switching to something else, nor sexual jokes.

If you didn't want sex jokes, you shouldn't be on such a young, edgy forum like Target Talk.

Yeah, I sometimes forget that even curmudgeon's corner as I call it has to go there for lack of better responses.

I have tracked down that it is still being made, just how much I have to buy to get more.

Without hairs (or gnats' whiskers) to split, some people would have to go and find a productive way to spend their time.

I don't know why the pellet manufacturing companies make all those sizes. The experts say pick any size they are all the same

It just isn't required Unless you have to really push hard to get them to seat in the rifling. Then it's handy to have options.
