TOZ 35M - a Blind Purchase

Post by Rudi »

I got lucky last year with my Benelli at 280 Euros. Still going strong at 30 years old.
I'm taking up free pistol after shooting air for a long time and needing another challenge . As with the benelli, any kind of olympic/sport pistol is almost impossible to find Here, you find them, but they disappear quickly, and the ones that make it to the store apparently get shipped out to other countries pretty quickly, never making it for sale to us mortals.
But this appeared recently in a small store in the east of the country, and I haven't seen such a complete package, ever for sale here.
A 35m, original case, and all the original bits and bobs, from the tin of spares, cleaning rods and brushes, down to the oil.
He is a reputable small dealer and gun smith, says it's working great and I believe him, I just can’t get there in the short term to check it out, would you take a chance at 200 Euros?

Only two Benellis came up for sale in the last twelve months and I got one, no work needed on it. I really think I don’t want to miss this TOZ. I think I know the answer, but just wanted to hear your thoughts.

The kit here goes for about 350,- to 400 € in Germany. We have absolutly so shortage of them what so ever. If you are shooting 570 or above with your Air Pistol, only then do you need a new challenge.

I’m on around 540-550 airpistol but to be fair only shoot once a week.
I do shoot small caliber pistol and have led the rankings for the second year. I’ve also moved to 25 meter with the new club and doing well. This was more for me finding a new outlet to focus on than trying to be a national shooter.

I’ve made the payment and received the confirmation. Looking forward to it

Paid $468 USD here in the states for mine. Then added $300 for Rink Grips. Don't know what the current exchange rate is but 200 euros sounds like a great price.

Answer: who wouldn't? It's almost an unreal deal. Go for it!

This thread has re-aroused my interest in these magnificent pistols and I am now on the hunt for one - actually, I think I’ve found one in a similar condition with box and all (or most of) the bits. Bit more expensive down this way in Oz where their value is appreciated; more even than rkitinne's purchase though this one already has a relatively (for a free pistol) unmolested Rink grip so perhaps a not dissimilar price.

Great - if you live in Europe. I’ve bought a couple of firearms from Germany at very modest prices and imported them into Oz. The out-turn cost after all the exporter and dealer fees and shipping and import fees - not so modest!

Indeed there are some in Germany but they will either not ship to the Netherlands or there is a steep fee to even get it into the country by an authorized weapon transporter (around 80 euros starting) then transfer costs.

In the end the price will easily reach more than I paid.
