LP50 vs LP10 Trigger and shooting quality

Post by BobZ »

Can someone provide a comparison of the trigger quality (1st stage takeup,2nd stage letoff) between the Steyr LP50(standard trigger) and the LP10 airpistols. Seeing as one is a semi-auto and the the other a single shot, does the semi auto mechanism have any negatives to the shooting characteristics of the LP50 when compared to the LP10 ?

As far as I know, the LP50 is a slightly modified LP5, and I DO know about the LP5 trigger. It is in no way comparable to a good single shot match AP trigger...It's not possible to adjust it to a very crisp letoff, and it will never have the smooth feeling of the LP1 or the LP10. But I did my 40 shot all time best with the LP5... So it probably doesn't matter all that much.
The mechanism has in my opinion no real influence on the shooting characteristics. But I do shoot left handed, so the gun turns against my wrist when ejecting the mag, which could be less distracting than for right handed shooters.
