I had a TransMet amputation of my right foot.
How bad do you need to be hurt to qualify as disabled

sorry to hear about your amputation.
Paralympic eligibility is determined by medical classification.
The rules are available here:

Specific to your question, see Appendix One.
Unfortunately, I believe this rule is likely to be applicable to you:
[i][b]"Limb Deficiency (s720-750)
 Amputation through the ankle (symes amputation); or
 Dysmelia resulting in the absence of a full ankle joint."[/b][/i]

Where can one get classified for para? I can never find a good answer.

Check with USA Shooting to see if they will have a classifier at USANC or WAG or any other major matches you might attend.
That would give you a US-valid classification. IF you qualify for an international team, you'll get a full classification at your first WSPS competition.
