The USOC has just released the application for the Olympic Youth Camp being held August 11-26 in Athens 2004. OYC is funded by ATHOC as a cross-cultural exchange to bring together young people from around the world. The youth will participate in various activities in and around Athens to include a 1-day cruise to the island of Saronikos. They will attend Opening & Closing Ceremonies, various Games competitions, observe athletes training, visit ancient sites etc.
The USOC will choose 1 each male/female between ages of 16-18 yrs ---rigorous application procedure to include writing an essay on "Olympic Spirit."
