moving cocking lever to other sid on FWB 700
Just a quick question, is the long pin that attaches the lever threaded or pressed onto the arm of the lever? It needs to be swapped from side to side and I don't want to mess it up !! The rest of the change is self explanatory. Thanks in advance for the knowledge , J.L.

Did you ever resolve this, or find instructions anywhere?
I would like to swap the cocking lever on my 700 ALU to the other side, but I figured I'd look for some instructions before I start taking things apart.

Never mind, I figured it out. For those that are interested, to swap the cocking lever to the opposite side:
1. Remove the c-clip from the pin at the base of the cocking lever (on the opposite side of the action from the lever).
2. The cocking lever and intermediate linkage will slide out together. Keep track of the spring that sits on the pin that had the c-clip.
3. The intermediate linkage has a pin that sits in a bushing in the cocking lever, and should slide apart.
4. The pin that had the c-clip needs to be removed from the cocking lever and reinstalled so it points in the other direction. The pin is pressed into the cocking lever, so be careful removing and reinstalling it. I was able to do it with a brass hammer, but a press would be much safer. I believe the pin should end up flush with the outside surface of the lever, but look at yours before removing it and duplicate.
5. Turn everything around and reinstall everything on the other side. The spring installation should be self-explanatory, but fit the legs in the little holes, and preload it so it helps open the action.
6. Reinstall the c-clip.
The hardest parts for me were removing the tiny c-clip without scratching the rifle, and reinstalling the c-clip without losing it -- or rather, finding the c-clip after it flew across the room the first couple times I tried to install it....
