Bennelli Service

Post by B Lafferty »

I've been off dealing with some medical issues this year, so my apologies if this has been answered already.

Has anyone taken over servicing of Kite pistols from what was Larry's Guns?

I have no experience there, so no recommendation implied. They took over "everything Larry."

The college team I help coach has 16 Kites, and at least 3 are in need of service. I've also been hoping to find a way to get them repaired, but so far without much progress.

Jim Henderson has all of Larry Carter's parts & tools, but they arrived a bit disorganized. Jim doesn't have the expertise to do the repair work, but there was a gentleman who worked at LGI for a while who does. I've attempted to get the two to discuss making some sort of arrangement, but so far without success.

Benelli's Italian web site dropped all the info on their pistols about a year ago, and I feared the worst. The pistol pages are back, but I'm not sure what the status of US sales & support might be. It would be nice if Benelli USA would pick up the pistol line, but in the past, they were strictly shotguns.

Want me to see if the CDN service can obtain parts or work on them?

That would be helpful. Thank you! I'm sure other Kite owners would be glad to have the option as well.

At least for airguns, there are no import/export issues (I assume).

Thank you all. My Kite is limping along. It will hold about 140 without leaking, so I can at least get a fair number of shots from a refill. If I can't get service by next Summer, I may look into buying a Hammerli AP-20.
