Krale prohibits Steyr shipment to US?

Post by seamaster »

Looking at Krale.shop, seems like Steyr pistols are not allowed to be shipped to US? Where as there is no such restriction on all other Krale air pistols.

Any reason why? Email Krale, no answer yet.

I quick guess might be that Steyr Sport spoke with Krale and doesn't want their “grey market” products “imported” into the U.S…??

Greetings,

Please post a link to the statement of no USA sales.

I looked yesterday and found a shipping calculator to send an LP-10 to the USA.

I saw no mention of USA prohibited.

Cheers,

Dave

If you go to their product description for one of the Steyr air pistols, and click on "more" at the bottom of the description, there's a notice that
" Important: the shipping of this product to the United States is prohibited!"

Greeting Tom,

Found the statement.

Might just be a COVID-19 thing...

Cheers,

That disclaimer has been there a long time; I first checked it out when someone was selling an LP10e or Evo or something on this forum and claimed it was "the last one that was allowed to be shipped from Krale", and I was curious about the claim. I always just assumed it had something to do with exclusive distribution rights within a country and/or potential "gray market" warranty issues.

Just a wild idea. Why dont you buy from the authorized Steyr importer, who also graciously hosts targettalk as well?

I asked them the same question some time ago (and after buying two Steyrs from them, both shipped to the US before the prohibition).
It's a restriction that the US Steyr importer has imposed.

Other brands are unaffected.

Their reply (Dec 9, 2019):
Dear ------,
Steyr has its own distributor for the US. Steyr wants to be strict about import channels of their products. We are sorry.
Met vriendelijke groet / Kind regards,
