7002 rear sight 10 to 20 click conversion?
I was able to pick up an Anschutz 7020 sight set from the 10pt9 going out of business sale. It is the 10 click version, and depending which rifle I put it on, I may prefer 20 clicks (my 2313 uses a long bloop tube, but my 1813 does not). My understanding is that the 7002 rear sight can be converted from 10 to 20 click and vice versa - does anyone know how this is done? Any help would be much appreciated.

Easy to do, you will need two ball bearings to do the conversion.
Take the knob off, underneath you will need a pliers or something to hold the star knob, use and Allen wrench to loosen the screw while holding it with pliers. Then you can turn the star knob off and see how you need to add another ball so that each click a ball is being used.
Fairly simple once you see the internals.

This change is is relatively easy to accomplish with no real disassembly of the sight required. There is an M2 set screw (item #9 on the parts drawing) located in the side of each spindle support plate (item #10 on the drawing) that holds down or releases a second spring loaded ball that is housed in the support plate.
For 10 clicks per revolution, the detent ball that aligns with screw #9 is simply pushed down into its recess far enough for screw #9 to capture it.
For 20 clicks, screw #9 is backed out to allow the second ball to engage.

Perfect, thank you both. Looks like two balls and two springs should do the trick.

Yes, Larry made an announcement about 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Using Morgen's instructions, I converted my 20 click to 10 click. Much preferred for me since I shoot at 100 yards quite a bit.
