Below find the final results for this Year’s 2020 National Rifle League season. Congratulations to Albion PA our 2020 season champions. This is their third league title the other two were in 2014 & 2015. It also breaks up a West Coast string of four championships Sutter 2016 and then Chico CA 2017-2019. This was the closest team championship in the history of our league. Albion had a total team score of 15875 to Chico’s 15870. In 2019, Chico had 15900 to Albion’s 15866. Albion was led this year by Joe Schrader, (last season’s 2019 MVP) who ended the season with a 397.80 average in Standing. Chico CA, was led by Michelle Garcia who had a 397.6 average in 4-P; Plattsburgh NY was in 3rd place this year with a score of 15829 led by Peter Visconti with a 395.9 average in prone. Roslyn NY came in fourth, just 1 pt. behind, with a 15828, they were led by Fred Greco who had a 398.40 average in prone. Sutter CA was in fifth with a 15814, led by Chandler Deaton with a 396.3 4-P Average.
Our Division Champions were as follows; Chico CA followed by Sutter G CA in the West; Albion PA followed by Jamestown NY in the Central Division; Roslyn NY followed by New Holland PA in the Southern Division; Barrington NH followed by Plattsburgh Aces NY in the Eastern Division; and Plattsburgh RR NY in the Northern Division followed by Vankleek ON.
This year’s Top shooters were; Michelle Garcia, Chico CA 397.6 in 4-P followed by teammate Quade Hutchison 396.7; Fred Greco of Roslyn NY with a 398.4 average in Prone followed by his teammate Larry Puccio 396.6; Scotty Rocket of Hampton VA in standing 398.4 average, followed by Joe Schrader with a 397.80 average in Standing and Scott Correa of Mt Vernon WA who had a 348.75 average in Sporter Rifle.
Our Top Junior Shooters were Chandler Deaton of Sutter with a 396.3 followed by Colby Pecorella of Albion with a 396 average in 4-P in 4-P; Scotty Rocket with a 398.4 average followed by his teammate Emma Pereirawho had 391.77 average in standing; Amy Visconti of Plattsburgh NY and Ashlee Peters of Barrington who both had a 384.1 average in prone . N Dane of Massena NY was our top sporter rifle shooter with a 332.37 average.
Our Top Senior Shooters were Fred Greco, 398.4 average in Prone; Paul Irvin of New Holland PA with a 395.3 average in 4-P, Scott Correa 363.30 average in Sporter Rifle, 348.7 and Joe Schrader 397.8 average in standing
Our League MVPs this season were Fred Greco of Roslyn NY and Scotty Rocket of Hampton VA who both had an amazing season with a 398.4 average in prone / standing.
I want to thank everyone who participated in this winter’s season. I would like to especially thank the team captains/ managers for all the work they did organizing and running their teams. Hopefully you have found the league useful in helping to grow your own programs. During the off season please take the time to invite new shooters to your club and introduce them to our sport. Look for an e-mail over the summer with updates and information for next season. Please share this e-mail withyour teammates and fellow shooters.
