Toz 35m firing pin spring
Hi guys.
My Toz 35 m occassionally does not always go bang, but click. It does not help to just set the trigger a second time. I need to cock it to make it go bang again. There is only a very light strike on the case. The firing pin seems to be OK(I hope, because it will probably be hard to find)
I suspect the firing pin spring to be worn out. Can anybody tell me the free lenght?
thanks in advance,
Keld

Re: Toz 35m firing pin spring
I'm sure someone will chime in with the details, but I seem to recall that there is a Smith & Wesson revolver spring that is a drop in replacement.

Re: Toz 35m firing pin spring
Thanks for your quick advices. Will try to get a S&W spring. Btw, seems that the advice with cocking the right way also had a positive effect.

Wolf also do a range of SW rebound springs with different windings, it would be useful to know which is the right one.
Re: Toz 35m firing pin spring
Factory spring works fine.
Spring is 16 lb.
A lot of the Wolf springs are reduced weight springs for lightning a revolver trigger pull, 11 to 14 lb.

Re: Toz 35m firing pin spring
I hate to mention this, BUT its probably not the spring. Scrub the chamber with a brush. When the gun closes on a dirty chamber, sometimes it doesn't seat the round well, the chamber grime holds the round aft against the falling block. When the firing pin hits it, it slides forward in the chamber absorbing the impact energy. You get a very light primer strike mark and recocking the gun does nothing .........
Re: Toz 35m firing pin spring
The firing pin spring is the only part I ever replaced in my extensively used TOZ. When I cleaned the gun, I would often check the firing spring in the gun against a new one. Often times I would stretch the one in the gun a little. In addition, I never left the firing pin cocked when the gun was not being used.

Re: Toz 35m firing pin spring
You can also use the spring from any model of Pardini freepistol, or if you dismember a Ruger 22 pistol you get more than 2 out of 1.
Spektr`s replie above is a good one.
