I have a Hammerli 280 that has a broken hammer.

The catch is that he's got ALL of Larry Carter's stuff, and it apparently wasn't exactly well organized, labeled, etc. Jim has been going through it for quite some time now, and he may not have located/identified the part you need. I've sent him a list a while back of items I know Larry had, but Jim hasn't located most of them yet.

In the meantime, Jim is also working on resurrecting the US supply chain of parts that Larry had manufactured over here.

Bottom Line: patience is not only a virtue, but in this case, a necessity...

Yes, aware of that, unfortunately since Walther destroyed, oops I mean bought, the Hammerli brand there's no support for either model. There is a complete trigger unit on egun.de at the moment, sitting at 105 euro.

I bought some 280 and SP20 parts a few years ago and they were pleasant to deal with.

Just remembered. There are two types of trigger housing for the 280. The US version has a larger hole for the safety lever. The EU version is smaller and the safety will not fit.

Yes, the 280 and SP-20 are somewhat interchangeable. There are differences, however.

The 280 housings are made of hardened steel.

The SP-20 housings are a cast alloy of some sort.

I "think" the internals are common to both, double check the part numbers from the manuals.

If they will ship out of the EU, it will be expensive as they use DHL.

Larry's Guns (now Cardinal) would not ship trigger parts out of the USA due to ITAR restrictions.
